My name is Robert Dudzic.
Welcome to my official website.
It’s really difficult to believe that 25 years ago, I arrived in Hartford, Connecticut from Poland, dead-broke with only my skills as a drummer to find my way in America! Those drumming skills weren’t much use to me in my first jobs. During the day I was working at the grocery store. At night I was cleaning offices. The one semi-bright spot was on weekends when I played drums in a wedding band. That was a never changing story for the first 12 years of my dream life in America. I never took vacation or sick time. Instead, I saved my money for something special, something that would give me a chance to explore my passion for music and sound. I knew that given time, hard work and opportunity, I could do anything…anything at all.
Eventually, through a friend I met at a local Guitar Center, I started doing some light production work at WKSS for very little pay, just to gain experience. Over the next several years I developed my production techniques and really loved what I was doing. So much so, that I never once asked for a raise, right up to the final day when the new Program Director informed me that the company could no longer afford my paltry salary. I decided to act on some good advice from a previous Program Director who had encouraged me to create my first sample library to earn some side money. I struck out on my own and started to make all the parts that radio imaging producers all over the world needed to do their jobs. It has just grown from there.
As a producer, engineer and studio musician, I’ve spent the last 15 years designing and composing music and sound effects. Together with Grooveworx, I’ve created several libraries of music and effects that you hear regularly on your radio, television and in the movie theater. Trynity HDFX and Cinema Sound Tools are two collections that can be found in over 300 production facilities in more than 50 countries world-wide. Radio companies like iHeart Media, ABC Radio, CBS/Infinity Broadcasting, ESPN, MSG, Warner Brothers, SKY Network and the BBC are all regular users.
My latest library is called R A I D. If you have been to the movies any time in the last year, you’ve been hearing it on movie trailers like The Gift, Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol, The Boy Next Door, Project Almanac, Blackhat, Terminator: Genesis, Need For Speed, Fantastic 4, Mad Max Fury Road, Gods of Egypt, BATMAN v SUPERMAN, X-MEN, Ninja Turtles 2, Inferno, and many more. In fact, the list grows nearly every day.
Every time you turn on your television anywhere in the world, it’s highly likely you’ll be hearing my work. My sound is constantly on NBC, ABC, CBS, ESPN, HBO, SHOWTIME, TBS, Disney, SKY Network, MTV, MTV Europe, Telemundo and NETFLIX. From kids shows to crime shows, movies to major sporting events, the sound effects and music I have created are there.
I also do a lot of work with Sample Libraries that composers, producers and deejays around the world use constantly to create their own masterful work. Damage is a multiple award winning sample library I worked on with HEAVYOCITY which was released by Native Instruments. I also worked with ProjectSAM on the multi-award winning Symphobia series, creating sound design called Dystopia.
Sound is my life and this website is a showcase of my sound.
I sincerely hope you enjoy it.
